Day by Day Itinerary

    Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where you will transfer to your hotel. Check in and unwind after your journey, enjoying the gentle charm of Rwanda’s clean, green capital city.

  • Day 2
    Travel to Volcanoes National Park & visit Dian fossey campus

    Day 2: Travel to Volcanoes National Park & visit Dian fossey campus

    After breakfast, depart Kigali stopping off to spend some time at the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about and reflect on the events of 1994. Then head north to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. Along the way, take in the beauty of Rwanda’s rolling hills and rural landscapes. This afternoon, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund – a world-class research and conservation centre dedicated to protecting mountain gorillas and their habitat. Explore interactive exhibits, watch scientists at work, and gain a deeper appreciation for the legacy of Dian Fossey. Check in at your lodge and enjoy dinner surrounded by volcanic peaks. (B,L,D)

    Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park

    Rise early and prepare for a day of adventure! Head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters where you will have a safety briefing and be assigned a gorilla group. With expert trackers leading the way, hike deep into incredible landscapes watched over by volcanic peaks, heading through misty rainforest and bamboo groves searching for a family of endangered mountain gorillas. Once you locate them, spend an unforgettable hour observing their social interactions—from the playful juveniles to the commanding silverback. One of the world’s most incredible wildlife encounters, revel in this rare and emotional experience. Hike back to headquarters and return to your lodge for lunch and a relaxing afternoon. (B,L,D)

    Return to Kigali

    Day 4: Return to Kigali

    After breakfast, return to Kigali,retracing your route through Rwanda’s lush countryside. Back in the city, the rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish. You could visit a local market or two, enjoy an authentic Rwandan meal or simply relax at the hotel. (B)
