The tour was value for money. The organisation before and during the tour was excellent. The hotels and restaurants chosen were all good. Perhaps a bit of free time would have been beneficial.

Lovely trip. Well organised.
Our travel guide was very informative and helpful.

life changing

Although it was a level 1, it was very strenuous for me, especially after a 14 hour flight. But this was probably my fault. I had a stroke 4 years ago which had left me weaker than I realised. Other members of the group were very helpful and tolerant of my condition, often offering me an arm on long walks. I was lucky to get such a nice group.
Our guide was very good and a great deal was packed into this short tour, which gave me a taste of Japan. If I was younger I’d love to spend more time there, but at nearly 80 I think I should stick to nearer destinations for the future… or if I hadn’t had a stroke I would have done much better. So as a taster this was excellent but probably too much for an old biddy! I highly recommend the tour to any fit person who wants a glimpse of Japan!

I have used many Travel Companies and Wendy Wu is up there as one of the best. The Tour Manager was extremely knowledgeable and knew how and when to supply information not only relevant to the trip but as to the culture and economy of the country and in comparison to the rest of the world. Wendy Wu supplied considerable information in readiness for the trip. I have given 4 stars withholding the fifth due to my own personal food limitations and difficulties but fellow travellers were enthusiastic about the Japanese food and enjoyed this part of the trip as much as the visits to the jewels of Japan.

The holiday was well organised , we saw as much as we could have, all of which was varied exciting but also challenging. I could not have managed without the tour manager.

The tour could have benefited from some downtime, for rest I.

Hiroshima Saijo was an excellent guide. Informative and very well organised. All the journeys and connections went well on a very busy tour. I would have liked a little more free time, but appreciate how many interesting and wonderful sights were included. I was a little disappointed with the food in some cases, and would have preferred more choice on some of the meals. Unfortunately in the Buddhist restaurant there was a cockroach in my tea, taken from a large tea urn on the lunch table. The tea ceremony and craft experiences were a lovely addition. Overall I would recommend the tour as a good introduction to Japan.

Every aspect of the tour in China was excellent. Our National Guide "Addison", made our tour exceptional.
This was our second tour with Wendy Wu and we are looking forward to our next tour in 2027.

Very helpful and very informative

Friendly and efficient

The tour was wonderful. Our tour guide Miyoko was excellent. Very polite, provided great commentary & passion about what she was showing us. She was very thoughtful and helpful to all.

Friendly and helpful.

Wonderful trip, we stayed in lovely hotels and ate in fabulous venues. Wendy Wu really think of every detail. Highly recommended

Great trip through several major cities and top tourist sites across Japan. We were carefully escorted throughout and taken to many excellent restaurants to enjoy a wide variety of Japanese cuisine. We’d highly recommend Wendy Wu and will use them again in the future.

Guide was fantastic
Far too many temples and shrines. Two would be great - one of each . There is more to culture than shrines
Should allow more free time
Why only a few minutes at the wonderful traditional villages - could have had an hour of free time at all of them. This is why we chose this tour but not to be rushed through them
Food was amazing
Level 1 - far too much walking. If we wanted a marathon we would choose level 4
Hotels were great - some breakfasts were substandard
Buses were great - comfortable
