Fantastic trip, flawless from start to finish. Guided through this full on experience by the best national tour guide that we have ever met, many thanks and kudos to Mr Hoffman who went out of his way to make our visit to this visually stunning and beautiful country. Nothing was to much trouble for this kind and knowledgeable man, we cannot thank him enough for his attention to details and individual guests. I may add that all of the local guides were of the same mind set and knowledgeable. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour, but a certain amount of fitness is required as this experience consists of a hectic schedule to see all that we had, but well worth the effort. Travelling with Wendy Wu was a fantastic way to see China. Ryan was a great tour guide for the whole trip and the individual city guides were very knowledgeable.

Amazing holiday from start to finish. On top of the stunning sights and experiences of China the whole trip was so well organised and we were exceptionally well looked after at all times. Special mention goes to Ryan our national tour guide who went well beyond in every way while always being so friendly, caring and approachable. Along with the local guides he also helped us get a real sense of living in modern China as well as an introduction to its history and language.

We did almost all the optional activities too which were all good value and excellent.

We cannot recommend this trip, Ryan and Wendy Wu highly enough - thanks to all!

N.B. This holiday is more active than it might appear with a lot of walking and early starts to pack so many wonderful experiences in. This was perfect for us but some less able did struggle a bit at times and opted out of some activities

Our national tour guide was Mark Wong, he was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, always available to help with any issues. He made the trip the wonderful experience it was. He was the total professional.
Also Cherry one of the local guides (in the one of the photos below) was very good as well, her jokes made us all laugh.
So many highlights, like the Wall, the scenery around the Three Gouges, & the panda bears to mention a few. Great trip.

Absolutely fantastic, cram packed tour with so may contrasting places and experiences. Walking along the Great Walk and strolling round mountain tops where we stood above the clouds and looked down at the brown Yangtze where it met with its green tributaries. The deep crevices of the rift valley with its shafts of daylight poking through. We went under overhanging boulders and deep dark gorges. Such contrasting features.

We experienced the hustle and bustle of huge cities like Beijing and Shanghai and smaller towns like Guilin with a slower pace. We met Mr. Wong the fisherman, with his cormorants and asked him about his life, a way of life that's dying out as youngsters don't want to fish. They'd rather have city jobs.

I loved the .people's parks and the tea rooms with beautiful traditional music playing in one area and live singers backed by musicians in another part. Whilst visiting a rural settings just outside Guilin with its serene, tranquil, stunning scenery, we stumbled on a village wedding and were greeted with sweeties and peanuts as soon as we were spotted.

I will never forget the magnificent sight of the Terra-cotta army in their original burial sites and close encounters with a few of the warriors preserved in glass cases for closer inspection. And of course watching those lazy laid back pandas strolling around their grounds and leisurely climbing trees.

We went to four shows all very diverse and highly entertaining from the unique singing of the Beijing Opera, to the spectacular water show on the lake and then the jaw dropping acrobats and bikers in Shanghai.

Out on the streets and particularly in historic places, were lots of young ladies wearing stunning , traditional very evocative of a traditional Chinese culture. They were very beautiful.

There was so much more to see but I've already written more than I probably should.

Our tour guide, Alice was very professional with all the qualities necessary to keep us well fed, entertained, safe and well informed. She, along with Wendy Wu made this a trip of a life time. I loved every cram packed minute and crave those delicious banquet meals.

We changed the tour we wanted and it took a little work to get it sorted.
We were doing it all over the internet so it was a bit difficult.

Excellent Tour, varied, educational, fast paced. An introduction to a great country which changed attitudes. Our Tour Guide Mark was brilliant; nothing was too much trouble for him. Everything ran efficiently. The eating places were very good. The hotels were, in the main, excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

An excellent guided holiday covering the favourite tourist spots in three weeks. Great food, sights and good English speaking national and local guides. Well organised, with good customer support, and flexibility for flights, and extras like extensions.

It was rather hot and humid in September; probably mid October would be better. Should also be less crowded then. Physically not that demanding except walking up to the Great Wall with steep steps and some patches without handrails.

An excellent holiday to see as many places as possible in a given time without all the hassle of organising it.

Very well organised, superb guide throughout.
It's a busy schedule. So be prepared for busy morning afternoon and evenings. That said you get through an amazing range of experiences.

Each hotel had convenience stores very close by, so we were able to get a few essentials, beer, water, toiletries etc.

The wendy wu booking agent organised stopovers on the outbound and tweaks to arrival that gave us some time to take the journey to beijing more leisurely, thanks.
Only thing we would do differently is book a stopover on the way back. Our choice, but shanghai to uk was a long day with the 7 hour difference.
I recommend wendy wu and this tour to you.
We are in our 70's, and maybe if your older or mobility is not so good, and more leisurely wendy wu tour might be better.

The staff member was helpful and knowledgeable and answered my questions regarding the itinerary and the flight offer and timings.
