An unforgettable experience in a fascinating country thanks to Wendy Woo’s expert team.

This tour is a great introduction to Japan, visiting key sites and cities from the south to the north. Three meals a day, with an excellent range of Japanese cuisine, is offset by around 12k steps a day!
Transport is a mix of Shinkansen and Express trains plus coach journeys. The train services are amazing - wish UK trains were the same!!
Hotels very good and practical experiences (sushi-making, carving, calligraphy, etc) were good fun.
We had the brilliant “Mike” as our guide - incredibly hard-working, knowledgeable and funny.

We saw many beautiful places and enjoyed many different cultural experiences. The Japanese food was delicious but some of the 'western' style meals were disappointing. I would prefer to eat food which is local. The autumn colours were stunning and the weather was ideal for sightseeing. Our guides and drivers were all outstanding.

Excellent - Although they were busy, I wasn't waiting for ages to get through on the phone. All my questions were answered and a booking quickly made.

Despite a typhoon accompanying us on holiday the tour guide managed to keep us all safe, fed and accommodated without much fuss in Vietnam November 2025. The changes in schedule were a shame but Loc's experience and enthusiasm made for an interesting holiday. The Mekong cruise was wonderful and Cambodia is such a beautiful country, albeit with a challenging recent history. Bunvath is a charming and sensitive guide, we were lucky to have both Loc and Bun.

The telephone conversations with Jade Moore were very good. The email offer for the holiday gave flight options and a final price, but did not detail the whole package. Our understanding of the package was based solely on the internet information.
Our request for a brochure did not materialise, despite receiving a confirmation email.

Excellent service from Mark. He was professional and knowlegeable and took time to find good flights at the right price. I was impressed by his expertise and good humour when taking my booking. If only other companies hada Mark we would ll be a little less stress when booking!

Fantastic tour. Everything was brilliantly planned and paced. Our guide was amazing and the food was fantastic. We had plenty of chances to experience Japanese culture and loved every minute.

Our guide , Satoshi Otsuru, was first class. He was so caring, attentive & knowledgeable.
He was clearly passionate about his country & gave us a fantastic insight into the culture & history of Japan.
His English was excellent, he could not do enough for us, Thank you 🙏 Suru!

Yes the tour is fast paced & the itinerary is full on, but we were happy with this as it ensured we saw & did as much as possible in this wonderful country.

All the hotels we found were generally very good. Some rooms were a bit tired/old (Hotel Associa, Takayama Resort & Prince Hotel Osia) but all were clean , the staff attentive & all provided a good service!

The food was again very good - why come to Japan & not embrace the cuisine!
We ate in both local restaurants & hotels.
The food was varied, well presented & prepared with great care!

As a first time visitor to Japan we would highly recommend this tour!

A full on tour- lots to see giving a really good taste of Japan. Plenty of food- almost too much. Well organised although a lot of travel as the tour covered a large area so not as much time as might have liked at some of the places to visit.

Treated like a star from start to finish. This tour covered everything and more, if you are looking to explore Japan would recommend.

I gave this holiday 5 stars because it made me want to come back and explore more of Japan. Also, because of the exceptional talents of our tour guide, I got an in-depth experience of the culture without the fear of not knowing the language.
Be prepared to be endowed with masses of authentic Japanese food; even the French and Italian style food was more Japanese.
All the hotel rooms were massive, some hotels were not close to anything interesting if you wanted to wander.
Please be aware that this is an international company, so two-thirds of the group were not from the UK. If that sort of thing bothers you, then WW Tours aren't for you
It has a physical rating of 1, which is far too generous. Many of our group tapped out on some of the sightseeing due to precarious stairs and a lot of climbing.
I went solo - wouldn't particularly pay extra for a solo people tour; pretty much everyone is there for a good holiday and willing to socialise.
It's not cheap - but if you get a good tour guide it's worth it. Also definitely recommend going Oct/Nov time for the Autumn colours (WOW!)

Loved Japan.
Food served left a lot to be desired. Breakfast was always good but lunch and dinner not tasty, bland and repetitive day after day the same. We never knew what we were eating either.

Great itinerary with lots of interesting locations to visit and things to experience. Quite excellent range of Japanese and International cuisine offered, all of which was to a very high standard. Very comfortable coach and rail travel. An exceptional guide made the holiday. This is interesting, safe carefree travel at its best.
