This tour has completely changed my perception of China. The terracotta warriors and the Great Wall were what I wanted to see, however there was much, much more to this trip. We were extremely tired because of the variety of opportunities provided. There was a lot crammed into one day but if the itinerary was altered to cut some sights it wouldn't be value for money. One could have left off the optional extras but if you wish to experience everything that China has to offer, just go for everything! It adds so much to your cultural learning.
Our guide Hoffmann was brilliant. His humour, patience, respect, dedication and knowledge allowed us to participate with confidence while absorbing all that China had to offer. The Chinese people were overwhelming with their welcome, friendliness and hospitality. Highlights were the pandas, the glass bridge, Zhanjiajie Mountains, Tianmen Mountain cable car, and the many local shows with a riot of colour, skills, performed on a grand scale. You have to go and you won't regret it.

This tour was a brilliant introduction to China, including so many fabulous sites and activities. Jason, our national guide, was wonderful, attentive, informative, amusing and so hard working. The local guides were also excellent. The trip was very slick and exceptionally well planned. This is a full on tour, with early starts and not much downtime which suited us very well as we wanted to pack in as much as we could. Highlights were the Great Wall, Terracotta Army, Pandas and mountains even though the weather was not great. Some people found the walking and steps a challenge but if you are an active person this won’t be an issue. The accommodation was all very good, as was the food, with plenty of choice. Highly recommended.

Very well organised with a superb guide”Hoffman”.
Only criticism was that two days were too busy and long.
The food at one hotel was poor.

Intense but enjoyable touring holiday the main tour guide who travelled with you was very knowledgeable and nothing was to much of a problem
Also the local tour guide who joined us at each stop had a lot of local knowledge of that perticular area
The show at the Chinese restaurant was spectacular with the laser lights and the show was just not limited to the stage they moved around the restaurant

Very helpful staff that were happy to answer my questions. They put my first quote together quickly and were happy to prepare another when I decided to change dates. I never felt pressured to make the booking.

First experience with them at one of their Roadshows and thought they seem an excellent company…
Had not heard of them before but the presentation was very informative and made us change our mind on a trip we had already seen to book with a different company but after seeing what a great company and how much they put into their tours and the way they look after you with local tour guides etc it was a no brainer we completely changed our minds and booked our trip to China with them and so pleased we have and Julia and the team were very helpful and friendly so glad we found Wendy Wu

Gems of China

Looked at several Wendy wu tours to China but this one seemed to cover a lot of what we wanted to see . Did not disappoint, very well organised by our fantastic tour guide Penny and aided by brilliant local guides . She really helped the group gel with her positive outlook and happy personality. Nothing was to much trouble and every experience amazing .
We were lucky to share the trip with a great group of people and have many great memories .
It is a very full on tour which we expected from the itinerary. It was lovely to dine out in local restaurants and try some local dishes .

A wide-ranging tour of China giving access to both historic and current sites. We had a first class national guide, Penny, as well as local guides for each main city. Meals were provided in restaurants or hotels with good food-hygiene standards and transport between venues was comfortable and safely driven.

South far south good, have only booked, not travelled yet, watch this space.

What an amazing holiday and Hoffman our guide is a man who loves his country/job and the company he work for he gave %110 in everything he did. Please do no miss out on the shows as they are amazing pictures or words do not do The Three KIngdoms and the fairy Fox we done every one on the Wendy Wu team.
