We have just returned from 21 days exploring the fascinating country of China.
This tour enabled us to see so much, we walked the Great Wall of China, saw the terracotta warriors, sailed the Yangtze River through the three goorges, fell in love with Lijiang, were evacuated from an outdoor concert in a lightning storm, reached 3400 meters above sea level on the magnificent Jade snow mountain, saw pandas in their conversation environment, explore the stone mountains, visited Tiananmen square, seen the metropolis of Shanghai.
We loved discovering its rich history, its food and the welcoming kind helpful people of China.
We travelled by bullet trains, planes, buses, local trains, cable cars and river boats.
All the hotels we stayed in were of a good standard.
And all this was possible by our amazing guide Allison, she made everyone in our group feel special. She taught us about her loved country, she made us laugh, took care of us, especially when someone on our trip was poorly. She referred to us as 'Allison family' and by the end of the tour that's just how we all felt. Thank you Allison for making such special memories for us.
One piece of feedback, Allison introduced us to the foods of the different regionals we visited, which was great but we just found the format of 'lazy susan' lunches and dinner twice a day a bit repetitive.

The booking process was excellent. We booked our trip at the Destinations travel show and despite the stand being busy our adviser Keith was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. We were able to book the whole trip, including flights upgrades and options all in one visit.
We have subsequently received email confirmation which matches exactly what we understood we had booked.
Hopefully the holiday itself will be as good as the services we have received up until now.

Warm welcome when I approached the stand. Once I explained what I wanted I was introduced to Kieth who listened to my requirements showed me the brochure for China. I agreed the tour I wanted and he explained the costs and dates available. Once this was set I explained that I wanted to travel business class and he contacted Matt who provided the costs and times of travel. In a very shirt while I had the date and time of travel plus the type of travel that I wanted. All the above made for a good experience and met my needs hence my agreed booking.

We had a magical time in China made even better by our excellent guide Cynthia Miao. An unexpected part of the tour was the variety of food the guides chose which turned the tour into a gastronomical delight. Thank you Cynthia and local guides for ensuring a wonderful experience.

Great service booking my next holiday. Several members of the team were instrumental in following up locally when the China tour I wanted flagged up as sold out. Luckily they managed to secure a space and Im looking forward to my second solo WW tour. Booking is very easy, even selecting alternative flights. Nothing is too much trouble!

From the get go Wendy Wu’s has been great throughout with their comms and amazing team of staff. As for our trip we can’t fault it as it was effectively seamless and the guides were just amazing. The food, the excursions and shows were all brilliant and overall China 🇨🇳 just kept giving. I would highly recommend o anyone and you can’t go wrong going with an open mind.

Friendly efficient service

We had a great tour with Wendy Wu. Our ******, Ivy was excellent. She was always ready to help, especially with our vegetarian diet. Our group bonded very well, which made it more enjoyable.

This is a great trip that covers a lot of ground and showcases some of the best that China has to offer. The Wendy Woo team in China is tremendous... totally dedicated to their jobs and the clients entrusted to them.
It is fast paced with some long days but you are well looked after, and very well fed, throughout. Travel arrangements encompass buses, flights, bullet trains and boats which is great fun.
I really recommend this trip to anyone who wants to explore China and try to understand the country
