When to go

Kyrgyzstan is best visited between April and October, when the landscapes are accessible and at their most spectacular. Spring brings blooming valleys and crisp fresh air, summer is ideal for trekking and yurt stays, and September is widely regarded as the finest month of all, with mild days, cooler evenings, and golden autumn colours beginning to sweep through the valleys.
