ENTERTAINMENT

At certain ports, local performers, folk groups or musicians may be invited on board to liven up the evening, while crew members are always ready to entertain guests with games and nautical activities. Rather than a Broadway-style show, guests can enjoy the conviviality of fellow shipmates while a live band plays tropical tunes in true Star Clippers style.

THE CAPTAIN & CREW

The Captain and crew are superb improvisers of the kind of light-hearted fun associated with Star Clippers. The Captain’s daily briefing on deck is wonderfully informative and a chance to hear some great storytelling as well.

Life Onboard

Restaurant

The main dining room operates open seating throughout the voyage, with no assigned tables and no fixed sitting times. Mealtimes are listed in the Daily Programme and may vary depending on port calls and planned activities. The menu changes daily and covers a broad international range. Dress is generally relaxed, although shorts are not accepted in the Dining Room in the evenings, and gentlemen are requested to wear shirts with collars and sleeves.

Piano Bar

The Piano Bar is the social centre of the ship in the evenings - informal, unhurried, and well-suited to the pace of life on board.

Tropical Bar

The Tropical Bar is the main deck bar and the natural gathering point at sundown, serving drinks throughout the day and into the evening.

Pool

Star Clipper has two swimming pools on deck, with more outdoor space per passenger than most conventional cruise ships.

Library

The Edwardian-style library is one of the quieter spaces on board, furnished in keeping with the ship's nautical heritage. A Belle Époque fireplace makes it a popular retreat on longer passages.

Watersports

A selection of watersports equipment is available at no extra charge, including snorkelling equipment, kayaks, paddle boards, dinghies, water skiing and windsurfing equipment. Swimming from the ship may be possible at suitable anchorages. Watersports are subject to weather conditions and local regulations.
