Visit China’s most notable destinations during two weeks of adventure and discovery on this private tour!  From the dynamic cities of Beijing and Xian, with their mix of old and new, to the serene beauty of the Yangtze River, you will be inspired. The Wonders of China tour provides a tailored mix of activities that includes exploring historic sites, tasting local delicacies, and experiencing the local culture and heritage.

You will experience dramatic scenery on the Yangtze River cruise and at the stunning Three Gorges. Rest assured that every minute spent in Guilin and Shanghai will take your breath away. Your two weeks will take you from attractions like the Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors in some of China’s metropolitan areas, to destinations that are scenic and tranquil. You will even have a chance to see the beloved Pandas!

Days 1-2 : US – Beijing

Fly to Beijing. Arrive the following day.

Days 3-4 : Beijing

Stroll through Tiananmen Square, past Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum to the treasure-filled Forbidden City. Also explore the Hutong areas, visit the unique Temple of Heaven and sample the local delicacy, Peking Duck. The next day, walk on the Great Wall, tour the exquisite Summer Palace and enjoy a fascinating Chinese Acrobatic show.

Day 5-6 : Beijing - Xian

Fly to the former ancient capital of Xian and enjoy a Shui Jiao dumpling meal followed by a performance of Tang Dynasty dancing. The next day, visit the 20th century – the Terracotta Warriors and walk along the Ancient City Wall.

Day 7 : Yangtze River Cruise

Board the Yangtze River Cruise vessel where you will spend the next four nights.

Day 8-10 : Yangtze River Cruise

Enjoy a tour of the Three Gorges Dam. Over the next three days, enjoy various side-trips and shore excursions along the way.

Day 11 : Chongqing – Guilin

Disembark the cruise vessel and visit the Panda House at Chongqing Zoo. Later, fly to the beautiful city of Guilin.

Day 12-13 : Li River Cruise – Guilin

Cruise the stunning Li River to Yangshuo. The next day, explore the colourful local markets returning to Guilin to visit the colourful Reed Flute Caves.

Days 14-15 : Guilin – Shanghai

Fly to the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai, also known as the ‘Paris of the East’ and enjoy two full days of sightseeing as well as a cruise on the panoramic Huangpu River.

Day 16 : Shanghai – US

Fly to the US, arriving home later the same day or the following morning depending on airline chosen.

    Day 3: Hong Kong
    A free day to enjoy the delights of this vibrant city as you wish. (B)

    Day 4: Depart Hong Kong

    Day 1: Arrive Hong Kong
    Transfer to your hotel.

    Day 2: Hong Kong
    Enjoy a half day island tour visiting Victoria Peak, Stanley Market, Aberdeen Fishing Village and an optional sampan ride (paid locally). The afternoon is at leisure. (B)

    Day 3: Lantau Island
    Begin with a ferry ride across the Victoria Harbour to Silvermine Bay to visit beautiful Cheung Sha beach and Tai O Fishing Village. Then travel to Ngong Ping Plateau to see the Giant Buddha and explore Po Lin Monastery where you'll enjoy a vegetarian lunch. Later, visit Ngong Ping Village before a ride aboard the Skyrail cable car. (B,L) If the cable car is canceled due to weather or any other reason, alternative transportation will be arranged.

    Day 4: Depart Hong Kong
