With so many amazing destinations to explore in China, it can be a challenge to decide what to choose for inclusion in a brief visit. If you are limited on time but still want to make the most of your time in China, we have created the China Express private tour itinerary. This tour will capture those iconic sights you won’t want to miss. The seven day tour makes stops in the modern city of Shanghai as well as the historic Great Wall and Forbidden City in Beijing. You will travel on a bullet train between locations, for an expedient and exciting experience you are sure to remember.

Days 1-2 : US - Shanghai

Fly overnight to the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai, also known as the ‘Paris of the East'.

Day 3 : Shanghai

Sightseeing today includes a stroll through the traditional Yu Gardens and the Old Town as well as along the famous Bund with its colonial architecture. Visit bustling Nanjing Road, the ‘Fifth Avenue’ of Shanghai and then ride to the top of the Jin Mao tower for stunning views across the city. In the evening, enjoy a dinner of Shanghai cuisine before taking a cruise on the panoramic Huangpu River, where the historic Bund and the futuristic Pudong come face-to-face. (B, L, D)

Day 4 : Shanghai - Beijing

Visit the Shanghai Museum, which houses over 120,000 pieces of bronze, coins, jade, ceramics, paintings and calligraphy. Also visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Constructed in 1882, it is one of the most important religious sites in the city. In the afternoon board the bullet train to Beijing. Traveling at a maximum speed of nearly 200 miles per hour, you will complete the 800 mile journey in less than five hours. (B, L)

Day 5 : Beijing

Sightseeing today includes a stroll through Tiananmen Square past Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum to the treasure-filled Forbidden City. This is the largest and best preserved collection of ancient buildings in China from the Ming and Qing Dynasties and houses over 8,000 rooms. Also visit the unique Temple of Heaven. (B, L)

Day 6 : Beijing

Walk on the Great Wall to appreciate 2,000 years of historical significance while admiring the panoramic views. The Great Wall is China's most iconic attraction, which stretches over 4,000 miles from the Shanhaiguan Pass on the east coast to the Gobi Desert in the west. Also tour the exquisite Summer Palace. In the evening enjoy the local delicacy, Peking Duck, followed by a fascinating Chinese Acrobatic show. (B, L, D)

Day 7 : Beijing - US

Fly to the US, arriving home the same day or the following morning depending on flight schedules. (B)

    Day 1: Arrive Hong Kong
    Transfer to your hotel.

    Day 2: Hong Kong
    Enjoy a half day island tour visiting Victoria Peak, Stanley Market, Aberdeen Fishing Village and an optional sampan ride (paid locally). The afternoon is at leisure. (B)

    Day 3: Lantau Island
    Begin with a ferry ride across the Victoria Harbour to Silvermine Bay to visit beautiful Cheung Sha beach and Tai O Fishing Village. Then travel to Ngong Ping Plateau to see the Giant Buddha and explore Po Lin Monastery where you'll enjoy a vegetarian lunch. Later, visit Ngong Ping Village before a ride aboard the Skyrail cable car. (B,L) If the cable car is canceled due to weather or any other reason, alternative transportation will be arranged.

    Day 4: Depart Hong Kong
